My client is a drug manufacturer, and they are looking for a sales director to manage the regional sales team in pharmaceutical industry. The position is primary Taiwan based.
 
Essential duties & responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Lead regional sales team members to achieve sales targets
  • Analyze sales and operations data to monitor sales progress and develops corrective plans to improve sales force effectiveness/efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional brand team and critical business partners to develop and execute regional sales strategies and tactics
  • Demonstrate a firm grasp of industry trends, understands market conditions, and develops strategies to stay ahead of the competition
  • Create a culture of compliance where members of the sales team are adequately trained in all areas of healthcare compliance and adhere to the highest levels of ethical promotional standards
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual business updates
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with the teams needs
  • Increase sales by coaching, mentoring, supporting and managing the sales manager
  • Provide direction and training/development opportunities to direct reports
  • Design and provide possible solutions to field issues and challenges
Profile:
  • Bachelor’s required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of commercial pharmaceutical sales and /or marketing experience
  • Minimum 5 years of account management experience is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years people management in a field sales role preferred.
  • Experience working with executive management at the health system level is preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and expertise in building an organization, demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must have a high degree of understanding of the pharmaceutical market and experience with device sales or hospital sales is preferred
