Job Description:

  • Assist Director of Sales to develop and implement annual sales activity plan with measurable targets and expense budget to achieve budgeted Sub-total FIT revenue
  • Achieve (and exceed whenever possible) occupancies and Average Room Rates as set out in the Marketing Plan Budgets
  • Implement hotel-level tactical sales plans as assigned to achieve greater profitability through increasing average rates, increasing overall occupancy, increasing business volume during off-peak periods
  • Maintain ongoing day-to-day hotel website, 3rd party websites, GDS channels and local or overseas wholesale travel agencies
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of business accounts, and attend out-of-town conventions and trade shows, to promote new business and increase sales for the hotel
  • Increase web generated revenues and awareness of property
  • Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts for assigned area of responsibility
  • Review the daily business levels, anticipate critical situations, and plan effective solutions in conjunction with department heads
  • Coordinate all aspects of familiarization groups activities at the hotel and work closely with other departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with guests, vendors and co-workers.
  • Conduct hotel tours to responsible local and overseas accounts.
  • Create content for website campaigns and newsletters

Job Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above in Hospitality Management or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum 5-year experience in hotel sales or travel agent
  • Good knowledge of market trend research and market intelligence
  • Ambitious, with strong drive to achieve targets, revenue and profits
  • Result-oriented, self-motivated and out-going personality
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication abilities across functions and with customers
  • Proficient in computer knowledge with good presentation and problem solving skills
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
