Sales Manager

We are looking for an outstanding sales person with a proven track record in enterprise sales to make a significant contribution to our continued expansion.  You will be based in Hong Kong and play a key role in leading the sales efforts for key accounts.  You are a tenacious hunter who is not afraid of working outside of the norm to drive rapid and robust expansion of the book of business.  The primary purpose of the Sales Manager is to achieve their overall revenue goal. In order to achieve this goal, you must create a complete territory business plan that generates 4x their quota in pipeline opportunity.  You are responsible to identify and qualify opportunities, develop and drive business strategy.

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as a leader in new business development and strategic partnerships
  • Build a sustainable pipeline for assigned territory or segment
  • Performing web demos and face to face sales pitches
  • Preparing and executing “Seeing is Believing” (POC) events
  • Present solution workshops and other marketing events
  • Proposal writing and follow-up
  • Managing contract negotiations to closure
  • Solicit feedback to refine sales direction, product offering and pitches
  • Upkeep of all ongoing sales activities in CRM including weekly snapshot reporting to senior management team
  • Liaise with inside sales team to pick-up leads generated from cold calls
  • Work collaboratively with marketing team to ensure marketing activities are aligned with sales priorities
  • Independently identifying and acquiring new customers, in addition to up selling to existing customer base using existing and new network of contacts
  • Demonstrate a passion for, and build strong knowledge of, the solutions that we sell
  • Participation in trade show events and seminars
  • Travelling may be required

Your Profile

  • Tenacious and Persistent, doing whatever it takes to get things done with integrity and without excuses
  • BA in Business or related field
  • 8+years’ experience in sales/business development with successful software solutions sales experience
  • Background in software, technology sales is ideal
  • Born to sell in an intellectual way – conceptual selling comes naturally
  • Proven track record of delivering on sales targets and developing new business
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, negotiation, organizational and communication skills are key
  • Passionate about sales/business results, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership
  • Must be articulate, have excellent presentation skills selling to executives in a boardroom setting
  • Collaborate with marketing, other sales, service delivery and support teams.
  • Strong network of previous clients and contacts
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with a strong drive and ambition to achieve success
  • Expressive and fearless, can effectively convince and make your point without being abrasive
  • Egoless, you focus on and do a great job of any given task without complaint
  • Innovative, you think of interesting and alternative ways to get new business
  • Experience in selling to senior decision makers
  • Strong background in selling enterprise software solutions to the Financial Services Industry
  • Ideally you are bringing segment specific sales experience with you
  • Ability to qualify and prioritize prospects, and generate opportunities through prospecting, networking and relationship building
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills
  • An outgoing, focused and organized person with a strong will to succeed

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree from a leading university is preferred
  • Qlik certifications are preferred but not essential
  • Excellent English, Cantonese and Putonghua (preferred)
  • Hong Kong Permanent Resident or valid work permit for Hong Kong
