This is a full time permanent role. There are 15 professionals within the investor development group located in London, New York and Hong Kong. Our client is actively growing their Hong Kong team and is looking for talented individual to join them. T he Associate will be primarily responsible for supporting the senior fundraising/IR professional based in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities:
The role focuses on:

  • Researching and tracking leads on prospective investors
  • Fundraising campaign management for LPs in the Asia
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials relevant to fundraising/IR, particularly bespoke items needed for specific investor
  • Planning and helping the IDG team execute a gold standard client services program

Key Main Responsibilities: Investor Development / Client Services / Reporting

  • Researching and tracking sales leads by researching the company's CRM, databases, public plan websites, etc.; prioritise targets, make cold calls to arrange calls or meetings
  • Building shadow dashboards with appropriate prioritisation of LPs
  • Supporting the senior fundraising professional in following up with LPs and managing them through due diligence processes
  • Development of strategy and planning materials
  • Presentation preparation and updating
  • Investor query responses
  • Investor events program development and planning support

Skills/Competencies for Associates

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and research capability
  • Proven writer with ability to craft narratives in presentation format
  • Adept with financial data and ability to summarize into digestible facts
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate manner, logically and well presented with confidence
  • Highly competent with Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Commercial awareness and business judgement – highly numerate, with attention to detail and the ability to explain and interpret data and make appropriate recommendations
  • Confident in your ability to liaise with clients and investors
  • Ability to work constructively as part of an internal team and work closely with other teams and third party advisors
  • High level of motivation, integrity, energy and enthusiasm

Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience and at least 3-5 years relevant experience in private equity industry or consulting required; investor relations and fundraising experience is helpful
  • Experience with working with CRM (client relationship management software)
  • BA/BS; advanced degree or professional qualification required
  • Candidate with high academic achievements from top universities is desired
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English and fluency in a second Asia language (mandarin Chinese, Japanese or Korean) is a huge plus
