Scheme & Fund Accounting/Finance (Manager/Assistant Manager/Senior Officer/Officer)

On behalf of client in the financial field, we are seeking high calibre candidates for the following:

Position:  Accounting (Manager/Assistant Manager/Senior Officer/Officer) - 3 posts

Position offered would be depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To execute any of the following duties:

a).   Fund & Scheme Accounting (Manager)

  • Manage daily scheme and fund accounting tasks in accordance with prevailing procedures and turnaround times and ensure adequate controls are in place
  • Review / authorize investment orders, fund transfer instruction, payment requisition and payment cheques
  • Review reconciliations and ensure proper follow up actions on reconciling items
  • Responsible for the proper accounting of assigned MPF / ORSO schemes
  • Accountable for all system enhancement projects related to finance functions
  • Assist in planning and budgeting exercise and perform on-going review on actual results against budget
  • Handle corporate accounting matters including monthly accrual schedule and profit sharing calculation

b).  Fund & Scheme Accounting (Assistant Manager)

  • Monitor daily fund accounting tasks of both MPF and ORSO schemes in accordance with operational procedures and service timelines committed with trustees and ensure that adequate controls are in place
  • Review/authorize investment orders, fund transfer instruction, payment requisition and payment cheques
  • Review reconciliations and ensure proper follow up actions performed on reconciling items
  • Ensure proper and accurate accounting records of assigned MPF/ORSO schemes are maintained
  • Coordinate the preparation of year-end financial statements for our pension schemes and audit schedules and liaison with external auditors
  • Support and coordinate business, system and regulatory projects
  • Provision of financial related management information to facilitate monitoring of schemes
  • Maintain proper and updated documentation on all critical financial processes
  • Assist in developing staff to ensure they are equipped with adequate operational skills and knowledge to handle assigned duties

c).   Finance  (Assistant Manager/ Senior Officer, 1 year contract) 

  • Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager
  • Reviewing and revamping the work flow and participating in the new accounting requirement development
  • Assisting the superior to conduct impact analysis and system testing and implementation.

d).  Accounting (Senior Officer/Officer)

  • arranging payment / remittance in relation to operating expenses, unit linked fund related process, investment trade settlements,
  • assisting in month end closing,
  • preparing accounting schedules and breakdown, bank reconciliation
  • handle administrative work and support ad hoc duties from time to time

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

1.  General Requirements:  

  • Diploma / Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • In progress of obtaining ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly adaptable to changes with flexible and positive working attitude
  • Knowledge of Oracle system is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese 

2.  Experience Requirements

a). for Fund & Scheme Accounting (Manager) requires 7 years working experiences in Finance / Accounting field  with at least 2 years experiences in managerial role, good knowledge of accounting & customer services principles and practices in retirement scheme industry

b). for Fund & Scheme Accounting (Manager) requires at least 5 years prior working experience in finance/ accounting field with at least 2 years experience in supervisory role

c). for  Finance  (Assistant Manager/ Senior Officer, 1 year contract) requires 5 years solid accounting experience, with Life Insurance background an advantage

d). for Accounting (Senior Officer/Officer) requires 5 years solid accounting experience, preferable in life insurance industry. Less experience will be considered for Accounting Officer
