Responsible for the proper efficiency and profitable functioning of the assigned kitchen.
Supervise the work of junior personnel remaining fair and impartial at all times.
Production of specialising requirements as required.
Major duties and responsibilities
To assist Sous Chef in supervising junior staff to achieve the product quality standards required by the Club.
To ensure good liaison with peers and management.
To play a part in ensuring that your department operates efficiently and meets or exceeds member satisfaction.
To recommend improvements and changes to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chefs.
To work towards achieving agreed objectives and targets.
To promote a helpful and professional image to the members.
To give full co-operation to any member requiring assistance, with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude.
To ensure members needs are anticipated to enhance service quality and thus, members satisfaction.
To ensure accurate and regular communication is taking place departmentally and interdepartmentally complying with the club policies in departmental meetings.
To ensure that company standards are adhered to and that all employees under your direction of control are trained to achieve standards required.
Supervise accurate preparation of products ensuring standards are maintained and developed.
Supervision and presentation of all work schedules for your area.
To plan and prepare concepts and menus.
