Senior Analyst, Asia Logistics (Planning & Optimization)

OVERVIEW

The Sr. Analyst – Origin Planning & Optimization will support the logistics planning & optimization team in execution of network optimization projects, establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures & drive 3PL’s on time performance ensuring a high level of service delivery to internal customers.
This role will develop & manage key reporting capabilities, performance management tools & support optimization projects for origin transportation function. The candidate’s key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Data Analysis, Reporting, transportation and space planning, process improvement, developing & managing key performance indicator’s, project support and implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Management (30% of Time)
  • Duty Statements:
    • Support optimization projects to support origin transportation operations & planning.
    • Develop & maintain project plans
    • Coordinating activities across different organizational functions & external parties
    • Tracking task progress & ensuring closure before deadlines
    • Prepare project documents – Presentations, Plans, process maps, etc.
    • Monitor project execution & lookout for improvement opportunities
  • Performance Standards:
    • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure
    • Must be able to multi-task, working on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work well with internal and external participants is essential
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is imperative
2. Process Improvement (25% of Time)
  • Duty Statements:
    • Analyze business processes & for improvement opportunities in transportation business processes
    • Provide & implement flexible, innovative & efficient solutions to Origin Supply Chain / transportation problems & for process improvement
    • Prepare documents – Presentations, SOPs, Plans, process maps, etc.
  • Performance Standards:
    • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure
    • Must be able to communicate effectively & influence stakeholders
    • Must be able to multi-task
    • Ability to work well with internal and external participants is essential
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is imperative
3. KPI Reporting/Optimization of Reporting (25% of Time)
  • Duty Statements:
    • Develop & maintain dashboards, metrics and related reporting tools & capabilities at regional level.
    • Develop and maintain 3PL performance measurement systems to manage their performance in both qualitative and quantitative ways supported by system process.
    • Support KPI reports and provide statistical information to support operations & manage 3PL performance.
    • Build databases to enhance the usage for current report
  • Performance Standards:

    • Ability to work well with internal and external participants is essential
    • Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is imperative
    • Eye for detail & ensuring accuracy at all times
4. Data Analysis & Data Compliance (20% of Time)
  • Duty Statements:
    • Provide mathematical modeling and quantitative analysis to support financial, operational, and strategic planning decisions
    • Regular analysis of operational data to lookout for improvement opportunities
    • Prepare data for management meeting / review meetings.
    • Develop methodology to define and solve problems through quantitative analysis and analytical models, operations research and statistics techniques
    • Drive data compliance & accuracy in internal reporting systems & external data
  • Performance Standards:
    • Must be capable of setting priorities and working under pressure
    • Must be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders
    • Must be able to multi-task, working on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to work well with internal and external participants is essential
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is imperative
