Who are we looking for

Our Corporate Actions Manager is a critical managerial role on Investment Operations team as he would be responsible for BAU management, control and oversight of Corporate Actions including oversight of process vendor, client interaction, exceptions handling and to facilitate product development This Corporate Actions Manager will be managing corporate actions updates to securities traded in HK & US

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily interaction with process vendors;
  • Provide support on corporate actions activities, identify and resolve exceptions;
  • Oversee the timeous and accurate processing of all mandatory and voluntary corporate actions .
  • Convey and manage entire voluntary event deadlines with clients and vendor;
  • Exercise good judgment to promptly resolve and/or escalate problems/discrepancies;
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve process efficiencies and increase risk mitigation;
  • Perform checking and reconciliation of general ledgers and other system records;
  • Assist supervisor to prepare the BCP documents and conduct drill test to ensure operations will not be interrupted due to disaster;
  • Working with the design teams to ensure that the requirements are understood and that the delivered design fulfils all the requirements adequately.
  • Responsible for the training & mentoring of team members.

Requirements

  • University graduated in Finance, Business Administration or relevant disciplines;
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in managing corporate actions updates to securities traded in HK & US – equities
  • Extensive experience working experience in the investment, banking, wealth management, and/or platform industry.
  • Ability to read a Prospectus and extract key Voluntary processing information
  • Ability to read stock record and trading activity and identify accounts eligible to participate
  • Good understanding of the entire process of corporate action operations;
  • Has equities settlement knowledge is preferable.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Able to perform teamwork & collaborate with subordinates;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capability to adapt to changes;
  • Hong Kong public holiday support may be required;
  • Knowledge of banking or investment practices & procedures.
