Senior Business Analyst, Project Management Office

We are looking for AM / Senior Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office. The AM / Senior Business Analyst will lead the liaison between business representatives and IT team, focusing on customer requirements. 

What You will Experience

You will work closely with our business partners to analyze business requirements and review/produce specifications for any new/change to our front-to-back applications.  You will be responsible to identify, assess, and document business requirements, providing input to business priorities, and advising busines on options, risks, and costs.  You will also work closely with the development team to ensure that they understand the requirements and specification. 

Other responsibilities include: 

• Consult with business clients to determine business requirements and partner with multiple functional teams to meet organizational objects
• Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems
• Lead and facilitate discussions between business and IT teams to ensure business/functional requirements well address business needs and validate the processes fulfilling business needs
• Act as subject matter expert in a project team, interact with and support enquiries from internal users and project team members for improving the understanding on user stories and thus the quality of deliverables
• Define and document user stories, identify obstacles which might impact the delivery of user stories, work out with relevant parties to remove the obstacles for continuous improvement
• Define, improve and maintain best-in-class business analysis practices
• Be the agile catalyst to coach various stakeholders and adapt to agile working approach
• Coordinate and handle other tasks as per requested

What You will need to Succeed

The Senior Business Analyst requires significant Business Analysis/Project Management experience across the full project lifecycle (prioritization, requirements, design, development, testing and deployment).

You will need proven track record in hands on end-to-end scoping, feasibility study, business analysis and QA; agile & SDLC delivery as Business Analyst; and experience in delivery record, running multiple projects simultaneously that involve digital/process change and technology enhancements.

An independent self-starter with excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills; strong project management, communication, presentation and influencing skills; and have empathy and generosity towards business and technical team stakeholders to uncover pain points and opportunities to deliver business value through technical solutions will be essential to success.

Other skills, experience and competencies include:

• University graduate in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related disciplines
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in business analyst and project management experience in financial industry
• Proven experience of Agile way of working (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, Azure Boards)
• Excellent in written and spoken English and Chinese
