Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary 

The primary responsibility of the Senior Business Analyst is not only to design an IT solution, but also to carry out project implementation and to provide daily support in order to improve business process and reduce manual workload. The Business Analyst is able to support any IT enquiry from all the potential Tender or RFQ. A small team would require to handle in order to manage all the business requirement and project implementation. The ultimate goal of Business Analyst is to close the barrier between business and our development team (both global and local) and resulting as process simplification/optimization.

Job Descriptions:

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze, document and fine-tune the business processes of airfreight and Ocean freight operations according to corporate standard and business needs
  • Design, Test and deploy to complex application interface and EDI integration.
  • Being a project leader with other stakeholder to ensure that the users’ current and anticipated needs are met by the scope of the project and maintain awareness of project milestones and project status
  • Accurately and concisely articulate issues, questions, and recommendations to customers, team members, and management.
  • Build partnerships with business departments to understand and anticipate emerging data, integration, and system needs
  • Responsible for day-to-day user support and recommend improvement / actions
  • Demonstrated Interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technology relationships with the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Provide IT support to all the RFQ or potential customer including presentation and requirement clarification during Tender period

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Higher Diploma holder or above in Computing, information technology or other logistics related disciplines 
  • Solid Experience in Freight Forwarding Management System (FMS) or Advanced Order Management System, i.e. LOGNET, would is required
  • At least 5 years working experience in IT or Freight Forwarding business related experience
  • Experiencing with sql script is required
  • Proven project management skills ( With PMP certificate would be an advantage)
  • Strong business and system sense, problem solving skills and analytical skills
  • Experience in team management;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, and spoken Cantonese and Putonghua
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is an advantage
  • Crystal report experience is an advantage
  • EDI mapping/development skills is an advantage
