Senior Buyer (Wine & Spirits)


Our client is a well reputable retail chains and they are seeking to hire a Senior Buyer (Wine & Spirits) to support its business expansion in Hong Kong.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the portfolio within the Wine & Spirits brands from forecasting/OTB plans, in order to drive the sales growth and maximize the portfolio
  • Conduct market research and business analysis to enhance the portfolio performance such as product assortment, market trend and penetration, etc.
  • Identify potential business opportunity, explore new and emerging category/brand to introduce to the business
  • Negotiate with suppliers on the trading terms and promotions mechanics, planogram and space planning, headcount plan
  • Responsible for OTB management, purchase order proposals, stock management and KPI’s control
  • Consolidate and analyze sales data and prepare business report for management review such as merchandise reporting, sales report and analysis
  • Work closely with Marketing team on marketing and promotional activity for the portfolio of wine & spirits
  • Support Marketing Team in the areas of advertising, public relations and communications, and any external tie ups promotions or partnership programs
  • Liaise with Logistics Team regarding shipment schedule, stock management, ad-hoc issues relating to stock flow

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor in Business or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years category management experience gained from FMCG industry
  • Solid experience in managing wine and spirits is an advantage
  • Strong numeric sense and analytical skills
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • A good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, proactive and well-organized
