Senior Content Development Manager

The Job

  • Manage the production projects (primarily Asian content) by dealing with external parties to come up with creative and production ideas, and formulate the respective business plans;
  • Facilitate and manage production budget, schedule and the relevant resources planning.
  • Responsible for P&L of each individual production and/or acquisition project.
  • Work closely with local production houses and broadcasters (especially Korean ones) to source production ideas as well as potential content that is currently not covered in our output deals
  • Support organic growth of the new business and execute strategic partnership and / or content investments, which cooperate with appropriate companies that have an established presence in their markets in new media or production related businesses.
  • Indentify and develop the synergies with our Hong Kong business teams from the identified overseas opportunities.

The Person

  • University Degree with proven track record of business planning and relationship building in high growth companies.
  • In-depth knowledge of content production and/or content acquisition is required and well-connected in the media market including production houses, agents, producers etc. is an advantage.
  • Energetic individuals who are able to develop business strategy with strong execution of content production projects.
  • Able to capture the trend and keep track on the competitive landscape of content production in order to recommend and decide on projects with high potential.
  • Tenacious with high commitment to business results and be able to build a long term proposition.
  • Highly motivated with proven problem solving, negotiating, process management and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Regional experience is an advantage
  • Willing to do substantial travelling when necessary.
