Senior Director - Finance

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading a small team, you will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team for Kantar TNS.  Your proven consultative skills will enable you to build strong client relationships, make an impact on the client’s business and achieve overall client satisfaction. Your focus will include business development and strategy implementation while also overseeing the full research process, delivery and financial management.  

Key Outcomes:

  •  In account management, you will lead accounts to drive account growth and ensure all deliverables meet client needs and generate strong insight and impact for clients business.
  •  Integrate knowledge of brand tools, philosophies and techniques and apply these appropriately to the design, analysis and interpretation of projects to deliver meaningful insights that are translated into engaging stories with clear and concise implications helping clients make better decisions.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, deliver effective advice and consultancy for clients by using a strategic view of clients’ business to effectively communicate client expectations, strategy and company policy to the rest of the team.
  • Manage and develop a high performing and engaged team of 6 to create a culture which fosters collaboration, growth and learning. Delegate tasks to the team effectively, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure account responsibilities and deliverables are met according to agreed timelines.
  • Identify, pursue and actively seek new business opportunities to grow existing client business, revenue and profitability.

Key Capabilities:

  • The candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 13 years of relevant (client / agency) experience, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  •  Acting as a trusted advisor to our esteemed clients, the candidate must demonstrate confidence, gravitas and strong interpersonal skills in client facing situations.
  • Commercially driven, you are able to develop and implement new business strategies with the senior team and respond to and drive new business opportunities from time to time.
  • You are able to undertake resource planning across the business with senior team to ensure all accounts meet business and client needs.
  • You are able to inspire and motivate the team to deliver their best work and continuously improve the client relationship through up-skilling and support across the client service team.
  • Knowledge of consumer insights specific to Hong Kong market will be advantageous.
