Senior Executive, Claims



The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and supervising daily claims administration, handling claims enquiries, assessing group claims and to ensure timely delivery of services to policyholders, business partners and brokerage. He/she also needs to initiate and review claims/operation procedures for continuous improvement, coordinate and perform UAT for system enhancement and projects, prepare report and analyze information to find appropriate solution proactively to resolve the problems. Cooperation with other teams to meet the deadlines and expectation of services is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer all group claims, from claim registration to settlement including processing payment, issuing correspondences for pending/declined cases in line with the policy terms and conditions, and all related administrative tasks within the agreed turnaround time and accuracy level;
  • Handle claim enquiries from both internal and external customers;
  • Coordinate and perform UAT for system enhancement, automation projects and ad hoc projects;
  • Supervise daily claims administration of junior staff;
  • Initiate and review claims and operation manual/procedures for continuous improvement;
  • Prepare regular reports for control purposes, a nalyze claims data to identify problem areas and improvement opportunities, propose solutions to management for review;
  • Cooperate with other teams to meet the deadlines and expectation of services.


  • Diploma or above, preferably in insurance-related disciplines;
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in claims adjudication/administration of which at least 1 year in supervisory role;
  • Medical knowledge and experience in handling group claims;
  • Proven track record of working with IT on claims projects which involve developing test cases and conducting UAT;
  • A good team player, able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficient in MS Office applications;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with analytical mindset;
  • Possess customer centricity mindset;
  • Cantonese speaker with good command of both English and Chinese.
