Senior Global Trading Solutions (GTS) Platform Specialist - Hong Kong

Within the GTS unit in the Investment Bank division, the APAC Platform team is seeking a Director level candidate. Platform management is a key function in the Front office and it represents the business in driving the strategies and Book of Work (BoW) for IT and system changes. The candidate will be responsible for managing the deliveries and BoW of GTS APAC-specific initiatives across desks and asset class in the region. This includes the enhancement for onshore entity for specific countries as well as daily business requirements.

The key responsibilities will be being a business sponsor and product owner for key initiatives / solutions for GTS APAC. Translating business Requirements into design and deliveries. Ensuring that IT teams always have an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on. Plus being responsible for conveying the vision of the stakeholders to the delivery teams in IT and other delivery teams.

Your future colleagues

Front Office Platform is a front office team with primary responsibility over GTS APAC’s FO system strategy, providing business and design leadership to system consolidation, product enablement and feature enhancements. The team works with senior stakeholders across the investment bank, as well as technology and COO teams, to drive the implementation of sophisticated tools and analytics, and improve their day-to-day workflow. This requires development of innovative solutions and processes, as well as enhancing existing ones.

There is a strong business need for a dedicated GTS Platform resource in managing the APAC specific initiatives and on-going improvement of the technology stack. Business needs someone to work closely with other platform team members in the global vertical pillars as well as the stakeholders on the ground to ensure the timely deliveries of these critical initiatives.

Your skills and experience
  • 5-10 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Experience in Trading and/or software development and/or in control functions appreciated.
  • Outstanding problem solving, analytical, numerical and technical skills.
  • An ability to learn quickly with an investigative mindset, thinking ahead, finding answers and being engaging in growing with the ability to see issues at a high level and in detail.
  • Your strong attention to details and having a good work ethic, along with strong presentational and leadership skills.
  • Good social skills and ability in negotiating practical solutions across various functions and levels of seniority.
  • Instant credibility, showing your hardworking and dedication in having the drive and determination to be successful in a high-performance culture with constantly changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Good commercial acumen, interpersonal and problem solving skills with excellent written plus verbal abilities in English, with Chinese Cantonese or Chinese Mandarin advantageous but not essential.
  • Being highly motivated, driven, a team collaborator, along with you loving working in a dynamic work environment.
  • Your ability working in Hong Kong and within a diverse team environment, cross collaborating with connected teams regionally and globally.
