Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the development of web and mobile applications
  • Design, develop, test and deliver mobile applications
  • Manage and administer the University mobile app
  • Develop system programming for the integration of University Portal and eLearning platform to ensure the accurate data are synchronized
  • Produce documentation of the system, such as user manual and provide user training
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Requirements

  • A recognised degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines
  • At least 3 years of working experience in applications and website development
  • Hands-on experience with the native or hybrid development framework
  • Excellent knowledge of web-based programming languages and tools such as XModule, PHP, MySQL, Oracle, HTML/HTML5, CSS, responsive design, etc.
  • Knowledge of Information Security concept such as secure coding practice
  • Knowledge/experience on supporting e-learning platforms such as Moodle; single sign-on system or related experience will be an asset
  • Familiarity with website development
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese

Candidates with working knowledge of student information system, such as Banner Luminis Portal, Moodle and experience in managing funding projects will be advantageous

Candidates with less/more experience will also be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.

Salary and Fringe Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
