Senior Kindergarten Training Officer
(Holding the substantive rank of Project Officer)
The appointee will mainly provide support to a project entitled “A School-Based Support Model of Social-Emotional Development for Kindergarten Children" sponsored by the Simon K Y Lee Foundation. This project is to develop and implement a tiered intervention model of the response to intervention (RTI) for promotion children’s social-emotional competence, preventing and addressing challenging social-emotional difficulties. This project aims to encompass support for teachers and parents of young children with social-emotional needs who attend kindergartens at K2 and K3.
He/she is responsible for assisting curriculum design and development; designing, developing, and implementing teaching materials/strategies for intervention programs; and conducting workshops for teachers, parents and related professionals. The initial appointment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree with several years of post-qualification teaching experience in local kindergarten setting, will be considered appointing at the substantive rank of Project Officer. They should able to work in the appointment at multidisciplinary collaborative research team and work independently with good problem solving skills, and is also expected to be self-motivated and work under tight timeline. They should have high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Immediate availability is preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include leave and outpatient medical benefits.
