Job Purpose:

The L1/L2 Senior Support Engineer is responsible for the day to day user- and network- support on IT related issues in the region. Some aspects of the job include:

  • 1st level IT support of applications and the IT infrastructure in use by the APAC offices.
  • Vendor management and function as the primary contact for external support parties.

Key Responsibilities:

Typical technical activities include:

  • Handling 1st and 2nd line support calls on IT infrastructure related incidents.
  • Regular checks on the local area networks of the organization.
  • Monitoring the networks.
  • Keeping up to date with relevant technologies.
  • Communicating and working with involved partners to resolve incidents and problems.
  • Administering incidents and changes.
  • Employee relocation assistance
  • Telecom assistance
  • Basic user trainings
  • Preparing computers for use in the standard environment using group imaging solutions and standards
  • Assist the local office management with specific local IT needs.
  • Be the primary contact for local IT vendors regarding specific local applications and equipment.

Key Requirements:

Technical skills:

  • Experience with the skill below is a plus:
    • Active Directory
    • Knowledge of E-mail systems and protocols.
    • Citrix
    • Security solution awareness.
    • Desktops and laptops (Dell / HP)
    • Network Printers / MFPs
    • PBX / telephony / mobile administration
    • Network switches (Cisco, Dell)
    • Telephone switches (Alcatel, Cisco).
    • Windows Desktop and Server OS.
    • Network protocols and services
    • Microsoft Office Suite (2010 onwards), Visio, SharePoint.
    • Generic application support (bookkeeping, HR, Payroll, etc.)
