Senior Manager / Associate Director, Accounting Policy

Job Summary

This critical position is responsible to establish AIA Group accounting policies in accordance with IFRS, review complex and non-standard transactions, conduct accounting researches and analysis to support various business initiatives, as well as provide guidance and training to strengthen the capability of business units in the Group to achieve high financial reporting standard

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with BUs to develop and deliver capital and cash plans for relevant BU
  • Lead roll-out of capital management framework and practical application across the group
  • Work on development and execution of capital-related solutions for the group
  • Work closely with group actuarial, group risk and the business units to analyse the drivers of our regulatory, stress and economic capital requirements and use this to develop solutions to optimise our capital position across these metrics
  • Work closely with local business units on the development and implementation of solutions to optimise their capital position
  • Assist with development of business requirements for corporate modelling framework and work with group actuarial and risk to assist them develop approaches to meet these requirements


Requirements

  • Degree holder with professional qualification in AICPA, HKICPA or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure
  • Strong accounting policy technical skills
  • Experience with insurance and financial services industries strongly preferred
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Strong team player and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and changing environment
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
