Senior Manager, Business Human Resources


Working Location: Kowloon Bay 

Reporting to Vice President Human Resources, the jobholder will provide HR consultancy advice and people solutions to a diversified group of Global & Regionalfunctions, including but not limited to talent acquisition and retention, development, performance management, compensation & benefits and employee relations.  As the focal interface between HR and the business, the jobholder will also work closely with HR Centres of Expertise to design HR programs, policies and practices, to strengthen DHL’s position as an Employer of Choice.  The jobholder will also take lead in resourcing planning and developing resourcing strategies to fulfill the Company’s current and long-term business and operational needs.


  • As an HR business partner to Global & Regional functions, with staff locating in different office sites in HK
  • Understand the business and operations of different functions, provide professional advices to line management in driving high performance culture, and at the same time effective employee engagement
  • Develop strategic resourcing plans and provide effective solutions on talent acquisition and retention to fulfill the current and long term needs
  • Identify training needs and implement customized programs
  • Facilitate talent review, succession planning and implement appropriate development and retention programs for key individuals identified
  • Conduct annual Employee Opinion Survey, develop and implement effective action plans to improve target areas identified
  • Provide line management with HR statistics and analytics for people decision making
  • Keep line management abreast of labor market updates and provide preventive solutions for foreseeable people challenges


  • Degree in Business Administration or related disciplines; HR management major, master degree or professional HR qualification an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years’ HR management experience in an MNC environment with both regional and local business partner and specialist backgrounds, with at least 5 years in people manager role
  • Expertise in talent acquisition and mass recruitment
  • Good knowledge of HK Employment Ordinance, related laws and job market practices
  • Good business acumen with strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • A proven change agent with the ability to communicate with employees at different levels
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Proficient PC skills with hands on experience in various HR systems and tools
