Senior Manager, Finance

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Reporting to the Financial Director and supervise the team of 5
  • Responsible for the full spectrum of Finance function including finance reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury of APAC offices, etc;
  • Responsible for the timely, consistent and accurate preparation of APAC consolidated financial statements;
  • Ensure accounting practices comply with local legislation and accounting standards, including but not limited to co-ordination of the annual statutory audits and review of audited accounts;
  • Review and co-ordination with local tax consultants on ensuring accurate tax returns are filed on timely basis;
  • Lead financial planning cycle, ensuring timely completion and accurate forecasting; provided monthly and quarterly variance analyses and financial matrix
  • Develop, implement and maintain financial controls and processes and ensure best practices
  • Drive team performance and ensure a continuous improvement culture
  • Ensure the audit standard and procedures comply with accounting standards and company policies
  • Closely monitor the internal control process, able to identify high risky area and carry out action accordingly
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects

Essential qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines with a professional accounting qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial accounting from a sizeable company in addition to Big 4 training
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Proficient PC skills, knowledge in BAAN is an advantage;
  • Strong communicator – good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal & written communication skills (English & local language);
  • Flexible – able to adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives
  • Able to work independently and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with stressful situations
  • Exhibits honesty & trustworthiness
  • Open to new ideas & willing to challenge status quo
