Senior Manager, Financial Controllership

Key Responsibilites:

  • Lead the monthly consolidated financial statement preparation process
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of the Group’s reporting; both in terms of accuracy of numbers as well as timeliness of reporting
  • Lead intercompany transaction reporting and identifying ways to enhance efficiency for intercompany reconciliations
  • Produce reports and other analysis breakdown using Hyperion Financial System (HFM)
  • Design templates to facilitate the group in ad hoc data collection among the group
  • Proactively manage and continuously improve the overall quality of the Group’s financial reporting and internal control environment.
  • Give instructions and provide guidance to Finance team across the world in accounting policies and technical accounting as required
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditor & monitoring the external audit process
  • Supporting the Director, Financial Controllership in developing the world-wide finance function in financial controls, processes & reporting
  • Handle any ad-hoc projects as assigned

Key Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
  • Professional qualification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CIMA
  • Minimum 8 years working experience with a minimum of 4 years in a group consolidation role within a public MNC company HQ
  • Highly technically sound accountant with a Big 4 background (up to at least Manager Level).
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience within a Listed environment a distinct advantage
  • Gravitas to work with and influence a globally spread out group of senior finance directors and other senior managers across the Group
  • Ability to deal with ambiguities and work within ill-defined boundaries and challenge status quo
  • Culturally sensitive and experienced in dealing with multiple overseas offices
  • Detailed minded with good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Performance and results driven;
  • Good team player with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize different requests
  • Strong interpersonal capabilities and ability to work cross - functionally with international teams and management on all levels
  • Highly motivated with ability to deal with ambiguities
  • Experienced in HFM with advance proficiency in MS Excel
  • Professional fluency in written and oral English with a good command of Chinese proficiency
