Senior Manager, Learning and Development (exciting role with a start up)

Our client is a relatively new start up company. They are highly innovative travel company that provides fast and yet simplified solutions to customers. Due to rapid growth and expansion, they are currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, Learning and Development to take up an exciting role with them.

Responsilbilities

  • Lead the development and articulation of the company’s learning and organizational development strategy, including performance management, training/coaching and development, and succession planning;
  • Take inventory of and develop our core, leadership and functional competencies with data-based programs that drive continuous learning and integration of these competencies;
  • Partner with business leaders to develop the programs and processes that can directly support and impact the BU specific organizational development initiatives that align with business goals;
  • Track and measure KPIs for people development program;
  • Partners with the recruiting team on internal talent pipeline and planning;
  • Works with the HR operations team to maintain accurate job descriptions for positions in company;
  • Uses best-in-class benchmarks and own direct experience as catalyst for driving change.
     

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related discipline;
  • 7 years of experience in learning & development, with expertise in talent assessment and management, organization effectiveness, and training and coaching, including soft skills, leadership, sales training and job skills training;
  • Experience in fast growth/fast-paced technology companies, and in a global organization, building and optimizing a variety of programs across diverse teams and cultures;
  • Mastery level knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with broad understanding of other job functions;
  • Proven record in organization transformation, establishing a new culture, inspiring change and leading high performance organizations;
  • Ability to influence and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across functions and locations globally;
  • Effective project management and communication skills – both interpersonal and written
  • Demonstrates high level of business and analytical acumen;
  • A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude that’s not afraid to work independently when required;
  • Globally-minded and comfortable working with people from different cultural background and in different time zones.
