Responsibilities:

  • Be a specialized problem solver in performing forensic accounting services including assessing insurance claims, quantifying economic damages, resolving financial disputes and providing accounting support in loss of income litigations and arbitrations
  • Participate in and supervise projects involving fraud investigation and financial anomalies review.
  • Analyze financial and non-financial evidence and inspect relevant unstructured data from various sources.
  • Conduct data analytics to provide meaningful findings for investigative purposes
  • Actively take part in the forensic accounting team’s practice management and business development activities.
  • Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision
  • Be committed to act with the firm’s core values and competency expectations

Requirements:

  • Degree holder, major in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • At least 4 years of relevant hands-on experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims evaluation and forensic investigation with client-facing exposure
  • A seasoned practitioner with a developed client base
  • Professional qualifications including HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent
  • Experience in sales/marketing and client-facing activities
  • Excellent communications and inter-personal skills
  • Business savvy and able to understand commercial terms and have basic knowledge of accounting and financial information
  • Work as a good team player
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; including Mandarin
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • good listening skills, a responsive attitude and be able to take ownership in resolving issues
  • Ability to work independently and a reliable attitude
  • Be passionate for providing exceptional quality service and striving for exceeding clients' expectations
