The Office of Mainland Development (OMD) is responsible for the overall coordination of matters relating to the University’s development in the Greater Bay Area and the rest of Mainland.  The OMD will work with the University management in the development and implementation of strategies and projects in Mainland China.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the President, the Senior Manager, Office of Mainland Development, carrying the functional title of Head of the Office of Mainland Development, will be required to:

  • Assist with the management and coordination of University-wide projects, programmes and initiatives in Mainland China
  • Provide research support to the University management to formulate development strategies and action plans in Mainland China
  • Develop, formulate and implement effective communication strategies to engage strategic partners and stakeholders in Mainland China
  • Develop and strengthen connections with Mainland institutions and industry partners with a view to exploring collaborative opportunities
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the University

Requirements

  • A recognized degree with ten years’ relevant experience
  • Proven experience in co-ordinating and executing Mainland-related projects, programmes and initiatives, preferably in the higher education sector
  • Excellent command of written English and Chinese, and proficiency in Putonghua     
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with various strategic partners and stakeholders
  • Strong managerial, organizational and problem solving skills; and
  • A strong sense of responsibility and initiative, and an ability to work multi-task under pressure

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
