Purpose of Job 

Reporting to the Group Director of Operations (GDO), the position is responsible for seeking out efficiencies that can be shaped into group-level best-practices. The role also involves guardianship of vital operational systems that are adopted across the group and for these applications to 'live', with guidelines in place to ensure consistency and optimization. Whilst technology will play a major part in the success of the role, the focus is on operational efficiency and ensuring satisfactory adoption levels of company standards. Armed with best-practice knowledge, the role is then able to assist during pre-post openings of new hotels to ensure consistency across the group.

  • Establish working rapport with all hotels and restaurants so as to be able to influence their processes
  • Be the go-to resource for all BU’s in regards to system advice and problem solving
  • Take the lead in working with software vendors and service providers
  • Establish best practice guidelines and, where necessary, data-entry/user SOP’s
  • Work across Central Support Office's divisions to ensure operational impacts are considered for unrelated applications (People Developnebt, Finance, Marketing etc.)
  • Establish Inntempo as the bedrock application for the company, by ‘owning’ it and ensuring it ‘lives’ across the business units
  • Assist with establishing pre-opening budgets, manning guides and other cost drivers, using Inntempo.
  • Assist in the loading of latest contract information
  • Establish critical path and action lists for hotel openings
  • Ensure all stakeholders engage with enterprise solutions to optimize administration efficiency and avoid duplication of work
  • Keep up to date with industry trends in the area operational innovation
  • Assist GDO with operational reviews where necessary
