Job description

  • Lead and implement assigned strategic initiatives to ensure meeting the business goal, scope, time and budget

Preferred skills

  • Sound knowledge of insurance products, operations, customer behaviors and technology
  • Expert knowledge of complex and multi-functional program delivery & management and continuous improvement methodologies, techniques, tools and controls and product lifecycle
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
  • Multitasking and strong prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and inter-personnel skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with stakeholders
  • Proficient in both spoken & written English and Chinese

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above
  • Over 8 years relevant experience
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the systems/software development lifecycle, i.e. Scrum, Agile, waterfall
  • PMP or SCRUM Master certification is preferred

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the roll out of assigned strategic initiatives from planning, execution to closing
  • Support business leaders to develop business case for seeking all necessary approval
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business departments & IT), gather business requirements, clarify uncertainties, resolve conflict and provide consultation for stakeholders
  • Provide thought and action leadership in times of ambiguity or competing priorities
  • Effective management of resources to drive resolution of identified project issues and risks and gain internal and/or external buy-in that risks and issues are effectively mitigated
  • Conduct project review and create detailed reports for management
  • Optimize and improve internal processes when necessary
  • Ensure adherence and alignment of project teams with Sun Life’s program management methodologies and where appropriate tailoring to meet the needs of the business stakeholders
  • Manage, develop and organize a diverse project team members whether partly or fully dedicated to the projects
