Senior Marketing Manager (Bank Product, 9 months Contract)

Our client, a multinational banking in the world is looking for high caliber candidate to fill the following position. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The overall planning process that drives Marketing activity, with involvement and participation from local markets to derive Marketing plans that support global and local targets and objectives
  • Deploying the Marketing planning framework consistently across the function and developing a range of tools to measure the effectiveness of Marketing activities
  • Development, completion and approval of rolling Marketing plans, including proposed levels of spend for consideration as part of the global planning process
  • On-going evaluation of plans and budgets to ensure the resources required are in place and that markets and Regions are in line with the overall framework
  • Setting, agreeing, monitoring and reporting on effectiveness and performance evaluation measures
  • Driving the Marketing effectiveness agenda and ensuring that Marketing spend is optimal and business partners are updated on the results of the function
  • Governance of the marketing teams in terms of financial and operational controls, audit requirements, and functional relationship i.e. Finance, Procurement, Regulatory Risk, Legal and Compliance etc.)
  • Providing  operational support and direction for cross team non marketing activities. 
  • The role holder must have proven knowledge of the business areas assigned, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of external and internal factors impacting the business and customer needs both now and in the future, and an ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across a matrix.

Job Requirements

  • Degree level of qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years broad based marketing experience, ideally, but not necessarily within the Financial Services Sector.
  • A focus on measurement and evaluation and data analysis (not necessary the analytics activity itself)
  • A background in direct or digital marketing and/or the use of metrics and quantitative data to drive decision making may be relevant for this role
  • Understanding of the dynamics and profit drivers for multiple marketing channels and media
  • A natural curiosity to want to question the status quo and look for better ways to do things
  • Infectious energy to make things happen
  • Experience of working with teams over multiple sites
  • Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new thinking and processes.
  • Proven ability to inform, challenge and guide leadership teams and peers at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work on multi function projects demonstrating excellent relationship building and motivational skills.
  • Proven ability to be a self starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Able to influence at an executive and senior level within Marketing and lead cross functional teams to drive for results.
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities
  • Degree level of qualification in marketing and/or business studies preferred
