Senior Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

The incumbents will take part in research and development of mobile robot enabling technologies for local industries.

Responsibilities:

The appointee will provide support in research & development activities of the centre and he/she is required to:

• lead in mechanical development of mobile robots for warehouse and logistics applications;
• lead robotic/mechatronic assembly/integration and system set up for site trials;
• lead in mechanical and/or electromechanical component selections;

Requirements:

Applicants should have:

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines. Higher degree is preferable;
• Min. 6 years solid engineering design experience in mechanisms, robotic arms and/or mobile robots and wearable devices;
• Knowledge of motors (including servomotors, BLDC motors) and sensors e.g. force sensors, IMU,…) for robotic/automatic systems are essential;
• Knowledge of CAE software e.g. Solidworks, AutoCAD and/or ProE;
• Immediate available is definite advantage;
• Candidates with less experience may be considered as Mechanical Engineer.
