ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may also be assigned. 

  • Collects data, performs analysis and creates suggestions to effectively plan fabric production with Under Armour’s nominated Mills
  • Supports and provides solutions to bulk fabric issues
  • Communicates fabric delays to cross functional Teams including Merchandising Team in the Hong Kong Office and Planning and Sourcing Teams in the Home Office
  • Manages the commitment process by communicating monthly quantity updates to the Mills, tracking usage from the Mills and verifying and reporting fabric liabilities
  • Ensures monthly capacity and seasonal lead time data is accurately reflected in the production planning process
  • Supports SMS and proto sample execution through managing commitments, tracking WIP and facilitating in the communication between Mills, Factories and Home Office and presenting potential delays
  • May be assigned ad-hoc projects to manage
  • Ensures all Suppliers are in compliance with Under Armour’s Vendor policies

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

5-8 years related working experience, preferably in similar position.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to manage a team of Fabric Merchandisers.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS (Cantonese, Mandarin and English):

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Excellent communication and analytical skills. Must be detail oriented, able to prioritize tasks and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.  Self-motivated, can work under own direction.  Must have good knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software.
