The applicant must possess

  1. a recognized degree, preferably with post-graduate qualifications in engineering / surveying / architecture / science or other construction relevant disciplines. The post-graduate studies preferably be related to construction innovations in the areas of Lean Construction, Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), Innovative Construction Materials, Robotic or other Automation Solutions, Information Technology and Big Data Analytics Solutions, etc.;
  2. a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification work experience in research / engineering / surveying / architecture / science or other construction related fields;
  3. relevant exposure / experience to construction innovative technologies and proven success of promoting the implementation of such in the construction industry is highly preferable;
  4. good organizational skills, negotiation skills and capability in project and vendor management;
  5. a high level of integrity, a sense of accountability and a proactive, resourceful, meticulous character;
  6. strong interpersonal skill with good networking capabilities and be able to establish strong working relationships with government, industry and other major stakeholders with the view of encouraging the industry to adopt best practices; and
  7. good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include

  1. to promote the implementation of construction innovations in construction sites;
  2. to scout construction innovations for showcasing in the CITAC;
  3. to liaise with the government departments and industry stakeholders with a view to encourage the adoption of new technology and innovative ideas to enhance the development of the industry;
  4. to provide secretarial support to the Management Board on Construction Innovation and Technology Application Centre and to assist in the implementation for decisions and recommendations of the Management Board;
  5. to prepare work plans, guidelines, model spec, documents of technical nature as well as any other relevant documents for enhancing the innovation performance of the industry;
  6. to formulate and execute promotion plan of CITAC and CITAC's membership scheme, that target to the industry stakeholders;
  7. to support the planning, organizing and execution of membership recruitment campaigns in accordance with CIC or CITAC initiatives, including workshops, seminars, events and conferences; and
  8. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.



The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
