Senior Officer, Branch Operations – Relief Team

Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing various counter services and back office administration to ensure proper service delivery and processing
  • Check and verify various transactions, clearing and account matters
  • Ensure accurate balances of the counters and the procedural propriety of all transactions
  • Perform administrative duties and act as the secondary custodian of international money orders, traveller checks, gift checks, safe deposit box and other transactional products, including ATM card, credit card, deposits, gold bar/coin, remittance, etc
  • Observe service performance of counter service staff and provide appropriate assistance whenever required
  • Assist in handling customer complaints in a professional manner

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary educated or above
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, 2 years of which must be at a supervisory level
  • Passes in HKSI & IIQE licensing examinations is preferred
  • Sound knowledge of branch operations, with good compliance and control sense
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, and able to work independently and under pressure
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Chinese word processing
