(Senior) Officer, Fund Operation x 2 (Private Equity Products)

Our client, a global asset management, is currently seeking a highly capable  Officer / Senior Officer, Fund Operation Management (especially for PE products & Fund of Fund).

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily fund operation, maintenance of funds, and portfolio valuations / reconciliation.
• Coordinate / Instruct external administration and custodians of the funds on fund operation issues.
• Liaise with investment analysis on fund subscription, monitoring related issues.
• Check and reconcile daily fund valuation performed by external service providers; monitor investment restrictions for fund and client accounts
• Perform daily account holdings and cash reconciliation and monitor the daily cash flows for individual Fund of Funds, include monitoring of cash calculation of Capital & Distribution.
  
• Prepare FOFs quarterly reports and other presentation materials
• Coordinate order processing and ensure accurate and timely settlement for client and fund transactions
• Oversee custodian, administrator and brokerage trading accounts and entire fund operation flow
• Resolve error trade issues and confirm trade allocation with fund manager, brokers, and counter parties
• Interact with custodians, fund administrator and other service providers on daily basis
• Liaise with counter parties for account openings, when required
• Work closely with the trader, the Client Relationship team, and external service providers

Requirements:

• Accounting degree or training preferred; or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in fund operation, accounting, custody or fund administration of private equity funds, fund of funds, hedge fund, preferably in financial industry and/or fund house is a definite advantage
• Strong MS EXCEL skills are a MUST
• CPA/ACCA student or qualified is considered an asset
• Good knowledge in fund accounting and settlement
