Senior Officer - Industry Development (Construction Innovation & Technology Fund)

The applicant must possess

  1. a recognised degree; construction-related discipline is preferred;
  2. a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in construction industry, government funding operation, or tatutory organisations;
  3. detailed minded, independent and proactive, be able to carry out duties satisfactorily with minimal supervision;
  4. good communication and interpersonal skills; 
  5. proficiency in Microsoft application software (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint, etc.). Chinese word processing is a must. Knowledge in data processing, Power BI or graphics design would be an advantage; and
  6. good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; Chinese word processing is a MUST.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)
 

Duties include

  1. to handle the applications and approval of the CITF according to the set policies and procedures, including vetting funding applications and disbursement request, preparing case summaries and reports, liaising closely with the applicants to keep track the application and project progress, answering enquiries, etc.;
  2. to handle the applications for inclusion in the CITF Pre-approved Lists including necessary liaison with the applicants and other relevant departments, conducting assessment, preparing case summaries and reports, etc.;
  3. to conduct site inspections in construction sites and applicants' premises including physical visits, conducting inspections, preparing reports and carry out necessary follow-up works;
  4. to provide secretariat support to the Vetting Sub-committees and Management Committee on the CITF etc. including arranging meetings, preparing case summaries, meeting papers and minutes etc.;
  5. to assist the management of the CITF Team with respect to the review of existing policies and procedures, the annual Pre-approved List Review, the Overall Review of the CITF and other projects as requested;
  6. to assist the management of the CITF Team in carry out other ad-hoc tasks and preparing necessary papers, reports, etc. as needed;
  7. to provide support to the marketing and promotional activities of the department;
  8. to arrange administrative support to the department;
  9. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
