The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA") is tasked to undertake urban renewal in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a holistic approach to urban renewal with redevelopment and rehabilitation as its core businesses.


  • To handle systems development projects to ensure that the deliverables are developed according to specifications and on schedule
  • To administer database management systems, design and review database architectures, implement corporate business rules and carry out performance tuning, etc.
  • To participate in the project management of application development works as performed by external consultants
  • To prepare user operation manuals and enforce operation policies and procedures to ensure that the systems are operating properly and according to the internal control standard


  • Degree holder in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in systems development with experience in project management, systems analysis and design, interacting with end users, supervision, programming and preferably database design and administration
  • Experience in various application development tools (e.g. Microsoft Visual Studio), programming languages (e.g. Visual Basic, C/C#/C++, Python), and database management systems (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Experience to provide users’ support is preferable
  • Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office environment
