The Job

The appointee will be assigned to the ORSO Schemes Section of the Supervision Division.  The main responsibilities include:

  • To assist in conducting periodic inspection on employers or administrators;
  • To monitor and ensure compliance with the on-going requirements of ORSO schemes/MPF exempted ORSO schemes like vetting of annual returns, periodic fee collection, maintenance of scheme particulars and winding up of ORSO schemes;
  • To process applications for ORSO registration/exemption and MPF exemption;
  • To handle complaints and enquiries relating to ORSO schemes;
  • To assist in investigating suspected non-compliance cases;
  • To supervise the work of Officers and Administrative Assistants;
  • To assist the Manager in departmental administration, compiling statistics and management reports; and
  • To perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned.

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent;
  • At least four years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, auditing / accounting, risk management, retirement schemes / pensions, banking or insurance, preferably gained from sizable or public organizations;
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Able to exercise good judgement by analyzing all relevant issues logically;
  • Capable of explaining ideas and thoughts in a clear and organized way;
  • Flexible towards changes and able to work independently as well as under pressure; and
  • Able to build and maintain good relationships with team members.

Remuneration Package

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered.  All new appointments will be made on a two-year fixed-term contract initially prior to consideration for appointment on a non-fixed-term basis.
