Senior Procurement Manager

Job responsibilities:

  • Supplier Relationship Management - Commercial management, analysis and assessment of suppliers.
  • Negotiate key commercial and contractual requirements with stakeholders to ensure cohesive approach
  • Develop and apply comprehensive knowledge and insight of suppliers
  • Market research to ensure well versed with market, component and technology developments.
  • Conduct regular product, market and supplier research and analysis as required, including cost breakdown analysis of products
  • Regular meetings with suppliers to develop understanding and identify efficiency improvements for whole supply chain, including distribution network.
  • Work with key suppliers to ensure they have visibility of Sky product roadmap and forecast and are able to support Sky’s demand plans.
  • Understand the suppliers ongoing investment plans, changes to line capacities and roadmaps
  • Develop and drive category strategies.
  • Identify and develop mitigation strategies for key supply risks and challenges.
  • Work with EMS partners to support continuity of component supply.
  • Working with Compliance team on an ongoing ‘best in class’ approach with our suppliers
  • Working with suppliers with regard to minimising environmental impacts and enhancing the profile of environmental matters
  • Developing best practice procurement tools and techniques
  • Lead, develop and support a team of Procurement professionals.

Job requirements:

  • Tertiary Education or above in Business Administration, Procurement or other related disciplines
  • Sound commercial acumen, capable understanding complex business issues
  • Minimum 10 years Procurement experience of manufacturing and supply chain procurement for technology hardware (Electronic components)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, specifically with key Stakeholders and External Suppliers
  • Excellent analytical skills and good attention to detail
  • Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills 
  • Proven organisational, communication and presentation skills
  • Flexible, reliable and confident self-starter
  • Excellent organisational ability
  • Taking the initiative and playing an active role in change
  • Meticulous in completing tasks to high standards and tight deadlines
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin and good PC skills.
  • Frequent travel to China and oversea.
