(a) To plan, implement and evaluate large scale territory-wide public education, community involvement and health promotion campaigns in promoting smoke-free lifestyles;
(b) To work closely with government departments, non-governmental organizations and international organizations for tobacco control advocacy;
(c) To develop supportive networks among health care professionals, educators, social workers, non-governmental organizations and community leaders to promote the social movement of tobacco control;
(d) To plan and supervise media events and maintain close liaison with local media;
(e) To collect, analyse, compile and disseminate information and data related to tobacco hazards;
(f) To assist the Executive Director in overseeing projects organized by Project Managers;
(g) To assist the Executive Director in formulating Council’s promotion strategies and preparing budgeting, project management reports;
(h) To supervise Project Managers and other junior staff in the Secretariat in performing their duties;
(i) To assist in committee work of the Council assigned by the Executive Director;
(j) To assist the Executive Director in the overall promotion of tobacco control through all kinds of approaches including legislative and community actions; and
(k) Any other administrative and project duties assigned by the Executive Director.
