Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager - Global Finance

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Regulatory Reporting Manager.

In this role, you will

  • To work as a team to complete the HKMA banking returns for HSBC Group and ensure all relevant regulatory reporting is correct, complete and submitted on a timely basis.
  • To improve processes, controls, basis of preparation and procedural manuals for existing HKMA returns and surveys for HSBC Group.
  • To work together with other functions, such as Risk, IT and business, to develop automated solution and systems that could be used across different entities within HSBC Hong Kong as far as possible.
  • To review and comment on the new regulatory requirements and consultation papers and assess the impact to HSBC from regulatory reporting perspective.
  • To address HKMA queries and other stakeholders in a professional way.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • University degree and professionally qualified accountant with post qualified experience including experience of GAAP and regulatory reporting with the financial services sector.
  • Background in HKMA regulatory reporting is definitely an advantage.
  • Strong technical skills including a good current working knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory reporting requirements in the context of Hong Kong and International.
  • Demonstrate change management skills, particularly those involving process reEngineering and system change.
  • Strong ability to analyze business transactions and identify key risk and mitigating controls.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to give presentations and briefings to senior management.
  • Independent and able to work under pressure to tight timeframes with multiple deliverables.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
