Senior Relationship Associate / Relationship Associate

The department

The STR team, working closely with Corporate Access, Sales and Research teams, is a critical component in providing investment bank clients with leading Event Management solutions, Client Strategy, CRM and Compliance solutions.

The position

The Senior Relationship Associate will support and collaborate with Relationship Manager in aspects of client account management and provide phone and in person support to investment bank clients.

The position holder

 The position holder needs to be confident in providing technical support to clients. In addition to an aptitude for technology, experience working with CRM systems or web design is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, a pro-active and goal-oriented working style, with the ability to think strategically and be flexible.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Support and Training

  • Partner with the Relationship Team Manager / Relationship Managers to provide first-rate support to the client base
  • Liaise with clients, taking requirements in order to write specifications for report enhancements, through to final delivery to the client
  • Clearly convey information to clients to resolve any product issues
  • Work closely with Relationship Team Manager and Relationship Managers through client upgrade process
  • Provide onsite training to ensure investment banking clients are aware of product features, functionality and content
  • Facilitate daily client support through email, phone and in person

Collaboration and Planning

  • Work with Development team, Functional Architects, QA and Technical Account Managers in order to spec, test and roll out enhancements
  • Provide advice and support to colleagues when required
  • Work as a team to identify client needs and resolve issues by recording this information in a centralized system and streamlining to the appropriate group
  • Develop close working relations with other teams to encourage collaboration and client connectivity
  • Assist in the training of new team members

 CHARACTERISTICS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent
  • Excellent standard of spoken and written English, other languages useful
  • Proven experience, typically more than two years, working in a client facing role
  • Ability to connect with stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Some experience of working with technology products
  • Analysing problems and translating that into a solution in software applications
  • Experience with a financial services company in a client support role
  • Aptitude for technology, particularly CRM systems, web design and html
  • Experience interacting with developers and IT professionals
  • Strong work ethic and keen to learn
  • Detail orientated wiht excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player as well as a problem-solver with a focus on delivering results
  • Flexible with the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise due to conflicting demands
  • Proven capability to work on own initiative
  • Comfortable working in a change environment with the ability to adapt to ambiguous situations
  • Strong interest in financial markets
