Senior Relationship Manager / Relationship Manager


What will you do?

  • Grow a personal portfolio of High Net Worth clients and provide them with a high standard of client service, ensuring effective channels of communication and that their financial requirements are met in accordance with established service standards and procedures
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients and develop opportunities to further cross-sell and up-sell the WM products and services, where necessary introducing the appropriate specialists to help further strengthen the relationship to meet individual sales targets
  • Seek new prospects, solicit referrals from existing client base and work in collaboration with other RBC units to win new client business
  • Liaise with investment consultants and product specialists to deliver wealth management advice and solutions to clients by taking into account of clients’ circumstances
  • Perform know-your-customer procedures, including collecting relevant client information, performing and documenting client needs analysis and client risk profiling, documenting investment objectives and strategies
  • Manage the risk associated within running and managing a book of clients this is to include overdraft management, operational risk, reputational risk, money laundering, compliance and general operation, custody and investment procedures
  • Conduct regular review of the performance of clients’ asset portfolio (e.g. financial performance, quality of account service, and anti-money laundering/counter-terrorist financing issues)
  • Work closely with relevant parties to ensure timely and accurate execution of transactions
  • Ensure client profile, client investment profile and call report are completed promptly and correctly
  • Achieve annual financial targets and pre-defined goals / objectives

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University education with ideally a recognized financial qualification
  • Strong knowledge of the wealth management industry with at least 8 years (for Relationship Manager role) or 15 years (for Senior Relationship Manager role) of relevant experience in advising High Net Worth clients
  • Strong relationship with an existing well-diversified base of Ultra High Net Worth / High Net Worth clients
  • Excellent communication and proven client relationship management skills
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, foreign exchange markets and banking
  • Strong organisational skills & interpersonal skills are essential
  • Sound client acquisition, retention and business development skills
  • A firm understanding of internal policies and procedures and the local regulatory requirements
