Ming Wai Lau Centre for Reparative Medicine (MWLC) aims to contribute to the improvement of human health by conducting cutting-edge research in reparative medicine and related subjects, by creating a new platform for synergies between academia and innovation in Sweden and Hong Kong as well as Mainland China and fostering future leaders in both academia and industry.
Description of the research group and project
Dr. Zongli Zheng’s group has long been interested in technology innovation to solve problems in clinic. Some of our technologies have been adopted globally in both research and clinical settings for precision medicine and for CRISPR genome editing. We are interested in integrating cancer genomics, single-cell genomics and CRISPR genome editing to identify therapeutic targets and biomarkers of genetic diseases. Companion new data algorithm and software development are integral parts of these developments.
We are seeking a highly motivated junior scientist to join our team as a Senior Research Assistant.
Responsibility and requirements
The position will be based in the inspiring environment of Hong Kong Science Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for NGS wet-lab experiments, data collection and summary, and assist in manuscript writing. Specific requirements include:
This is a one year fixed-term employment.
This assignment is located at MWLC, Hong Kong, and the employment will follow local labour laws in Hong Kong.
A competitive remuneration package including 10% on top of basic salary (fully taxable) intended as pension will be offered in addition to MPF employer’s contribution and medical benefits.
