The appointees will be responsible for providing support for a project on mathematical concept development for secondary school students through e-Learning. Duties include preparation of learning and teaching materials, organising seminars, workshops, camps and school visits, liaising with stakeholders, assist to design research instruments, collecting data, compiling reports, and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointment will be for a period of 2 years.
Applicants should have a Master’s Degree preferably in Social Science or related disciplines, preferably with experience in managing teaching and learning projects and/or familiar with university operations, plus one-year post-Master’s degree full-time working experience, or a Doctoral Degree. Applicants without a Master’s Degree or having a Master’s Degree but without one-year full-time working experience might be considered for the post of Research Assistant. Applicants should have proficiency in computer skills, high proficiency in English, Chinese and Cantonese, competency in report writing, be attentive to details, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and good interpersonal and communication skills. They should be self-motivated and work as a team member. Interest and relevant experience in mathematics education would be an advantage. Immediate availability is preferred.
