The appointee will be responsible for supporting related research and administrative work for a project to inquire into the student performance of Diploma of Secondary Examination. He/she will assist in conducting literature search; liaising with school teachers and government officials; collecting and analyzing data; preparing manuscripts; writing reports; managing administrative work; and performing other duties as assigned. The appointment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Applicants for Senior Research Assistant should have a Master’s Degree plus one years' post-qualification full-time experience or a Doctoral Degree in a relevant field. Applicants for Research Assistant should have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a higher degree in Education or a related discipline, with at least 2 years post-qualification experience. They should also have a good academic and research record; good knowledge of advanced statistical tests and/or qualitative research methodology; good knowledge of statistical package (e.g. SPSS), word processing software; and an excellent command of both English and Chinese.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental benefits.
