The appointee will mainly provide support to a project, entitled “Early Prevention, Early Identification, and Early Intervention: A School-Based Support model of Social-Emotional Development for Kindergarten Children," which tests the effectiveness of a curriculum designed to promote the socioemotional competence of kindergarten children. He/she will be responsible for compilation of questionnaires and protocols, data collection from children, families, and teachers, data management, and preparation of reports and manuals. The job is perfect for individuals who plan to gain more experiences of working with a wide range of children and families, in the context of a large-scale intervention project, before applying for more advanced academic and/or industrial positions. The initial appointment will be for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
For the position of Senior Research Assistant, applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, or other related disciplines, with at least one year of post-qualification full-time working experiences. For the position of Research Assistant, applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Psychology, or other related disciplines. Applicants should have good interpersonal skills and multi-tasking abilities. Applicants should also have high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Knowledge in computer software, such as Excel, WORD, and SPSS, is essential. Immediate availability is preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
