HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to Wealth and Personal Banking clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.


We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as SeniorRetail Securities Manager.


Principal Responsibilities


  • Realize your full potential as a core member of the management team operating Hong Kong’s biggest and most loved online stock trading service

  • Take accountability for managing end-to-end service resilience and oversight of the business risk and control environment

  • Act like a true business owner by identifying and driving continuous improvement in quality of service we deliver to our end clients

  • Lead processes re-engineering with internal and external service providers and establish new SLAs and monitoring protocols where required

  • Provide healthy challenge to Process and Control Owners who support our service

  • Ensure critical business service process maps are properly maintained

  • Monitor for trigger events and support follow-up actions through incident response, customer complaint monitoring, internal read-across assessments & external event analysis

  • Contribute business expertise to ensure issues are appropriately documented (Helios) with rigorous root cause analysis and diligent follow-through of remedial actions by action owners

  • Support strategic initiatives by ensuring comprehensive risk assessment in partnership with Risk Stewards and establishment of suitable Controls before launch

  • Own & develop plans to ensure service continuity and effective internal and external communication during disruption

  • Establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships and engagement models with all relevant first and second-line teams

  • Expand your impact and pursue passion projects in an open and collaborative environment

Requirements
  • University degree with preference for advanced degree in business, legal or risk disciplines

  • Years of working experience in wealth management and / or brokerage

  • Familiarity with stock trading systems, processes and service providers

  • Experience in operational risk management strongly preferred

  • Solid business acumen is a must to ensure appropriate assessment of commercial vs risk tradeoffs

  • Proven team player and ability to thrive in matrix environment
