Strategic Planning and Corporate Development Department functions as the central planning and strategy development team of the Bank and addresses topics at the top of senior management's agendas.

This role will focus on delivery of a Special Project to create a social media platform to interact and understand the behavior of specified target segments to increase awareness of and preference for the Bank. This role provides the opportunity to lead the Initiative by working with all the Businesses and Functions of the Bank to build a new setup and framework for a well-established organization.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join us as Senior Social Media Project Manager, Online/Offline Engagement.


Principal responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Head of Special Project, Social Media, the successful candidate will lead the development of innovative, relevant and interactive online/offline activities via a new social media platform designed to build interaction and engagement with targeted segments
  • Devise, co-ordinate, manage and execute social media communications strategies, campaigns and activities to deliver against the objectives and ambitions of the Special Project
  • Work with social media agencies and other external partners to develop interesting and relevant campaigns and activities to drive awareness of and participation on the new platform
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in developing content that is in alignment with Hang Seng standards and industry best practice
  • Develop clear direction and briefs for the smooth and efficient delivery of agreed activities, ensuring they are tracked and measured appropriately to demonstrate effectiveness
  • Develop, manage and implement systems and processes for the timely identification and handling of issues arising



  • University degree in marketing, digital marketing/advertising, business studies or communications preferred
  • Over 8 years of managerial experience, of which 5 years in social/new media and community engagement, preferably in financial services industry. Top-notch relevant experience in non-financial services industries will also be considered.
  • Proven work experience as a stakeholder engagement specialist with expertise in online-to- offline (O2O) strategies and sound knowledge of using social media for building brand awareness and ability to identify target audience preferences and build content and activity to fit their interest
  • Track record in developing and introducing innovative new content and activities to the market;
  • Ability to lead and build an initiative from scratch and to handle high level of ambiguity
  • Ability to think innovatively, shaping and communicating new concepts; Thinking and delivering ‘digital’ first in all circumstances
  • Proven ability to work on multi-function projects that can demonstrate excellent stakeholders management skills
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter with energy and drive in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Excellent influencing skill in dealing with executive and senior level management and strong leadership across functional teams to drive improvement
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese and English preferred
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
