Purpose:

Strategize in coordination with Marketing Manager and speahead the use of PR and social media as part of an integrated marketing strategy & team to build communication tools intended to elevate brand appeal, interest and demand in highlight products and deliver consistentcy in message and visual identiy across campaigns, product and event sponsorship

Accountabilities:

Planning

  • Strategic development of PR and social media specific initiatives 
  • Generate Brand / Product exposure across traditional and new media channels by recommending, planning, and executing public relations and trend marketing initiatives
  • Establish good relationship with all media that will ultimately allow reebok to communicate our core concept message, product information, and events more effectively and efficiently.
  • Extend activity into new media, specifically as a means of communicating digitally with our target consumer
  • Pro-actively work with the product marketing team, regional PR team and PR agency in developing the message / press releases required for product features / technologies
  • Integrate PR promotion into marketing plan

Financial

  • Maximize use of allocated budget in accordance with the seasonal/product marketing plan
  • Develop & recommend PR proposal within budget
  • Keep track on marketing expense and provide forecast

Systems and Processes

  • Pro-actively coordinate on departments' communications with PR function to ensure that all publications/projects are aligned with marketing strategies. Set up KPI to monitor performance of the PR agency
  • Work closely with Sales & Product to ensure all coverage can be planned according to product launch
  • Assume responsibility for PR briefs' writing process on products for the PR agency
  • Implement regularly HK PR Summary that recaps recent events, clippings and seeding status, communicate Reebok PR marketing status, create internal PR program to create exciting motivation among staff and generate support from other functions. 
  • Handle ad-hoc media enquiries
  • Manage daily media monitoring procedure/ clipping report
  • PR Inventory control, ordering, and seeding 
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years' experience in the PR & Communication of a multi-national company or/in a PR firm
  • Good media relations / networking; previous relationship with fashion, lifestyle, and sport media is a plus
  • Excellent understanding of sports in HK, familiar with local athletics, especially in the running and fitness field, and love street culture
  • Basic knowledge of digital PR and social media
