INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES OFFICE
Senior Specialist / Specialist (Teaching & Learning and Data Analytics Support) (two posts) (Ref. 22011209-JCS)
The appointees will be required to work in the User Services Section to:
(a) provide technical and operation support to academic staff on teaching and learning platforms and video conference tools;
(b) prepare user guides and conduct demonstrations on teaching and learning platforms and tools;
(c) test and evaluate teaching and learning related platforms and tools;
(d) perform data collection, analysis, and programming support on teaching and learning data;
(e) perform data integrations, ETL and data mapping activities;
(f) assist in compiling learning analytics reports; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline;
(b) at least five years’ relevant experience in managing teaching and learning platforms and video conference tools;
(c) knowledge of Blackboard/Canvas/Moddle, MS Teams, Zoom, T-SQL, SSIS, Excel macro and Power BI;
(d) strong analytical and problem-solving skills; and
(e) the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Specialist post.
