Visual Merchandiser is to proactively work within the Retail Marketing Department and support field sales managers to develop suitable retail programs so as to meet the company financial projection, while pursuing the brand building effort.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Recommends retail strategies and implement strategies according to the Marketing plan
  • Inputs retail initiatives to the Marketing Manager/Head of Marketing and Sales Manager/Head of Sales to consider in the annual and quarterly marketing plan
  • Works closely with marketing and sales management from the brand concept planning stage and then leads the process down to detailed implementation planning
  • Works closely with field sales managers as well as close communication with customers to develop the suitable retail programs to leverage the impact of company campaigns as well as the sell through in the outlets, mainly focusing on Key Accounts and Strategic Accounts
  • Supporting field sales to have an effective POS development plan in adidas only retail and multi-brand retail
  • Supporting field sales to gain more floor and shelf space in multi-brand retail


  • Controls the trade marketing working expenses within the budget owned by Marketing
  • Assumes responsibility for T&E budget

System and Processes

  • Effectively implements processes which are maximizing the adidas marketing campaigns at the retail level. Elements in the process include:
  • Clearly communicates and coaches the proper processes with the marketing and sales teams
  • Coordinates communication between Marketing and Sales throughout the process of campaign preparation and implementation
  • Ensures smooth and timely process of campaign preparation at retail level
  • Well communicates marketing concepts with field sales people as well as accounts at early stage (3 – 6 months ahead of execution) and at all stages of campaign preparation
  • Inputs in early stages of campaign preparation with sales/trade perspective
  • Develops detailed execution plan (1 – 3 months ahead of execution)
  • Monitors the whole campaign implementation at retail level
  • Collects the campaign’s feedback, analyzes results and conveys it to communication


  • Providing merchandising training to retail sales operation team, sales staff of adidas/franchise shops/key retailers on regular base
  • Developing effective training plan and programs for targeted accounts


  • Strong knowledge and background in Visual Merchandising
  • 3 - 5 years' solid experience in the trade/ retail marketing department with an international brand
  • Innovative and creative thinker, able to show strong initiatives
  • Attention to detail, team-player, perform multi-tasks and good time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enjoys a balance of in office and out of office schedule
